Due to the very high quality of applications for the Bryan S. Finkle Visiting Scientist Grant (BFVSG) this year the Board has decided to give two awards:
The successful applications were:
- Charlene Henry (Jamaica) with training to be provided by Susan Grosse (UK) in the United Kingdom; and
- Lucia Dellepiane (Uruguay) with training to be provided by Michelle Carlin (USA) in Uruguay.
Congratulations to Charlene and Susan, and Lucia and Michelle - we look forward to hearing the outcomes of the training in the near future.
For those of you who applied but were unsuccessful, we encourage you to apply again for the next visiting scientists grant – please look out for the next announcement. Thank you to all TIAFT members who applied initially (around 40 applicants) and to those members who made the shortlist for the second round.
I would also like to encourage our experienced TIAFT members who have the capacity to provide training, to also apply as the "trainer" when the next round is announced. Alternatively, you can send an email to the TIAFT President to ensure that your name is included in the register for the BFVSG.
