PASSPORT & VISA REQUIREMENTS

It is an Australian requirement that every non-Australian travelling to Australia must obtain a visa before starting their journey. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU APPLY FOR YOUR VISA WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR DEPARTURE DATE. In addition, travellers must ensure they obtain the correct visa for their stay.

People seeking to attend or participate at TIAFT in Melbourne need to apply for a short stay business visitor visa (subclass 456). Those who are able to obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) may obtain either a short or long-validity short stay business ETA. ETAs are issued through computer links between the Department of Immigration & Multicultural & Indigenous Affairs, travel agents, airlines and specialist service providers around the world. Further information is available at www.immi.gov.au/eta/index.htm.

Application for Visas can be made via Australian Embassies or Consulates in major cities around the world. Further information about entry Visas and travelling to Australia is available at www.immi.gov.au
