"TICTAC" - A CD-ROM FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF TABLETS & CAPSULES

TICTAC is a CD-ROM running under Windows for the identification of solid dose forms (tablets, capsules, transdermal devices and LSD stamps). It contains data on all legitimate and illicit products available in the United Kingdom. It is used extensively by healthcare, law enforcement HM Customs and prison service professionals. It has data on the physical characteristics of the products, the drugs they contain and monographs on drug abuse and the law. There are 28,000 pictures of the products and structures of the drugs. Data on cross-reactivity of the drugs, and hence the products, with EMIT reagents is also provided.

The CD-ROM is updated every 13 weeks with interim data available via the internet.
