This meeting has been held in preparation of the enlarged meeting of Wednesday August 27, where it was proposed a common research project, which would involve the collaboration of as many young toxicologists as possible. The aim would be to stimulate research by young toxicologists and exchanges of experience and information. The TIAFTnet forum and mailing-list would be used to facilitate the exchanges. Results of that research could then be presented in the scientific sessions at the next TIAFT meeting. The use of these communication tools will also allow more experienced TIAFT members to follow our work and give their suggestions and criticisms. The subject to be chosen should be such that the threshold for participating is not too high, i.e. it should involve equipment that is available in many labs. This proposal was accepted at the business meeting in Padova.
