"Kompot" is the most popular usage form of opimu alkaloids. It contains morphine, codeine and their acetyl derivative in various proportion. There are many clandestine manufacturers of "kompot" in Poland. In the investigation of "kompot", it is sometimes necessary not only to perform qualitative or quantitative analysis of the samples, but also to ascertain whether samples are identical.
We developed an analytical sequence based on quantification of identified compounds and unknown components of kompot, using a high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The results obtained from 20 samples are listed.
