Preamble: In 1963 an Association was established in London, UK, between scientists engaged or interested in forensic toxicology. This Association proposed a provisional Constitution that was adopted in that same year and modified in 1981 and 1995. An amended Constitution was drafted in 2000 to be adopted in 2001.
